Basic Myanmar Sentences

 ရွိ /   ျဖစ္ ႀကိယာမ်ား အေၾကာင္း (ပစၥဳပၸန္)

About Myanmar verb to be (present)

၁။ ရွိ / ျဖစ္  = positive

Am, is  =  ရွိ / ျဖစ္/ ဟုတ္

Are  =  ရွိၾက/  ျဖစ္ၾက / ဟုတ္

You must understand that we use သည္ or ၏ for the ending of the verb at writing of Myanmar.

ဥပမာ.. Example       

ရွိသည္။   ျဖစ္သည္။

ရွိၾကသည္။ ျဖစ္ၾကည္။

You must know that we understand တယ္ for the ending of the ending of the verb in spoken Language of Myanmar.

ဥပမာ - Example

ရွိတယ္။  ျဖစ္တယ္။

ရွိၾကတယ္။ ျဖစ္ၾကတယ္။

၁။ သူသည္ ဆရာ၀န္ တစ္ဦး ျဖစ္သည္။ (အေရး ဘာသာစကား)

He is a doctor.

သူဟာ ဆရာ၀န္ တစ္ဦး ျဖစ္တယ္။ (အေျပာ ဘာသာစကား)

၂။ ပူသည္။ ပူ၏။

It is hot.

ပူတယ္။

၃။ သူတို႕သည္ သူေဌးမ်ား ျဖစ္ၾကသည္။ (အေရး ဘာသာစကား)

They are rich.

သူတို႕က သူေဌးေတြ ျဖစ္ၾကတယ္။ (အေျပာ ဘာသာစကား)

စကားေျပာ ေလ့က်င့္ခန္း

၁။ ေက်းဇူးျပဳၿပီး ျပဴတင္းေပါက္ကို ပိတ္ေပးပါ။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ခ်မ္းလို႕ပါ။

Can you close the window , please. I’m cold.

၂။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ အသက္ ၃၂ ႏွစ္ ရွိပါၿပီ။ ကၽြန္ေတာ့ ညီမအသက္ ၂၂ ရွိပါတယ္။ 

I am 32 years old. My sister is 22.

၂။ အျငင္း = Negative

ဥပမာ = Example

မျဖစ္ = မရွိ = မဟုတ္ =is not

မျဖစ္ၾက  =  မရွိၾက= မဟုတ္ၾက= Are not

We use `မ´ for Negative.

၁။ မင္းရဲ့အေမ အိမ္မွာ ရွိသလား။

Is your mother at home?

မရွိပါ။ အေမ အျပင္ကို သြားပါတယ္။

No, she is out.

၂။ ခင္ဗ်ား ေမာသလား

Are you tired?

ဟုတ္ကဲ့။ ေမာပါတယ္။

Yes, I am tired.

၃။ ရွင္. ဗိုက္ဆာသလား။

Are you hungry?

ဟင့္အင္း.. မဆာပါဘူး။

No, I am not hungry.

၃။ ေမးခြန္း = Question

We use ´လား´ ´လဲ´ for question.

ခင္ဗ်ားက အလုပ္သမား တစ္ေယာက္လား။

Are you a worker?

ဟုတ္ပါတယ္။

Yes, I am.

ရွင္က အရာရွိ တစ္ေယာက္လား။

Are you an officer?

မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္က ေက်ာင္းဆရာပါ။

No, I am not. I am a teacher.

I am a doctor.   ကၽြန္ေတာ္က ဆရာ၀န္ တစ္ေယာက္  ပါ။

She is a doctor. သူက ဆရာ၀န္ တစ္ေယာက္   ပါ။

He is a doctor.   သူ ဆရာ၀န္ တစ္ေယာက္     ပါ။

I am not a nurse.  ကၽြန္မ သူနာျပဳ ဆရာမ မဟုတ္ဘူး။

It is hot.        ပူတယ္။

It is not cold.     မေအးဘူး။

They are rich.     သူတုိ႕က သူေဌးေတြ ျဖစ္ၾကတယ္။

They are not poor.   သူတို႕က ဆင္းရဲသားေတြ မဟုတ္ၾကဘူး။

My brother is police officer. ငါ့အကိုက ရဲအရာရွိ တစ္ေယာက္ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

He is very tall.  သူက အရပ္ ေတာ္ေတာ္ ရွည္တယ္။

I am afraid of dogs.  ကၽြန္မ ေခြး ေၾကာက္တယ္။

Aye Myat Thu is not interested in Politics. ေအးျမတ္သူက ႏိုင္ငံေရးကို စိတ္မ၀င္စားဘူး။
