စကားဆက္ (Conjunction) သမၺႏၶ    สันธาน

စကားလံုး တခုႏွင့္ တခု ၀ါက် တခုႏွင့္ တခု (သို႕မဟုတ္) တခု ႏွစ္ခု သံုးခု ေလးခု စသည္တုိ႕ကို ဆက္ေပးေသာ စကားလံုးကို စကားဆက္လို႕ ေခၚတယ္။

Conjunction means that the two nouns or verbs or two sentences can be added and related as one clause or one sentence.

ဥပမာ။ For example

ႏွင့္   (နဲ႕)  ၍ And

မိန္းကေလးမ်ားႏွင့္ ေယာက္်ားေလးမ်ား ကစားေနၾကသည္။

မိန္းကေလးေတြနဲ႕ေယာက္်ားေလးေတြ ကစားေနၾကတယ္။ (နာမ္ ႏွင့္ နာမ္)

Boys and girls are playing.  (Noun and Noun)

မိန္းကေလးမ်ားက စာဖတ္ေနၾက၍ ေယာက်္ားေလးမ်ားက ကစားေနၾကသည္။ 

မိန္းကေလးေတြက စာဖတ္ေနၾက၍ ေယာက်္ားေလးေတြက ကစားေနၾကတယ္။

Girls are reading and boys are playing.

ေလ့လာ သိရွိထားသင့္ေသာ ေသာ ျမန္မာ စကားဆက္မ်ား

ဒါေၾကာင့္ / ထုိ႕ေၾကာင့္/ အဲဒါေၾကာင့္   So, Therefore

ႏုႏုက အရမ္းလိမၼာတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ သူမကို ခ်စ္ၾကတယ္။

Nu Nu is very clever so she is loved or has been loved.

မဆုဒါက ရည္မွန္းခ်က္ ႀကီးတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ သူမ ႀကိဳစားလွ်က္ ရွိတယ္။

Ma Suda has a great aim so she has been trying hard.

မတူ အဂၤလိပ္စကား ေကာင္းေကာင္း ေျပာႏိုင္တယ္။ အဲဒါေၾကာင့္ သူမ လစာ ေကာင္းေကာင္း ရလိမ့္မယ္။

Ma Too can speak English very well so she will get good salary.

ေအးျမတ္သူ အရမ္းလွတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ စိတ္လႈပ္ရွားသြားတယ္။

Aye Myat Thu is very beautiful so I am excited.          

ဒါေပမဲ့ / သို႕ေသာ္။   But

ကိုစိုင္းက ကၽြန္မကို သိတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ ကၽြန္မက သူ႕ကို မမွတ္မိဘူး။

Ko Saing knows me but I can’t remember him.

ကၽြန္ေတာ္ အဂၤလိပ္စကား ေျပာႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ့ ဘာသာ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ အားမရေသးဘူး။

I can speak English but I am not satisfied myself as yet.

ဒါက ငါ့အတြက္ အရမ္းခက္တယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ မင္းအတြက္ေတာ့ လြယ္လြယ္ေလး ျဖစ္မွာပါ။

It’s hard for me but as for you it’s very easy.

မိန္းကေလးက အရမ္းလွတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ သိပ္ၿပီးေတာ့ စိတ္ေကာက္တတ္တယ္။

She is very beautiful but she is so petulant.

သူတို႕ႏွစ္ေယာက္ ခ်စ္ေနၾကတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ မသိဘူး။

They are falling in love with one another but I didn’t know.

ဒါမွမဟုတ္/      သို႕မဟုတ္  Or

ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ဒီဟာ သို႕မဟုတ္ ဟိုဟာကို ယူမယ္။

I will take this one or that one.

ကၽြန္မ ဖိနပ္တရံ ၀ယ္မယ္။  ေနမယ္။ ဒါမွမဟုတ္ အက်ၤ ီတထည္ ၀ယ္မယ္။ 

I will buy a pair of shoes or a blouse.

သူ ၀က္သားဟင္းနဲ႕စားမယ္ သုိ႕မဟုတ္ ၾကက္သားစားမယ္။

He will eat pork curry or chicken.

လာမလား ဒါမွမဟုတ္ သြားမလား။

Will you come or will you go?

ေသာေၾကာင့္ /   လို႕ As / because / since

အေမ ေနမေကာင္းေသာေၾကာင့္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ေက်ာင္းမသြားႏုိင္ပါ။

I cannot to go school because my mother is sick.

မိုးရြာေသာေၾကာင့္ ထီးယူခဲ့ပါ။

You must bring an umbrella because it rains.

သူ ဗိုက္မဆာလို႕ ထမင္း မစားဘူး။

He does not eat because he is not hungry.

မင္းလာမယ္ဆုိလုိ႕ ငါတို႕ ေစာင့္ေနၾကတယ္။

Since you will come, we are waiting for you.

သူ ေရဆာလို႕ ဘီယာ ေသာက္ေနတယ္။

He is drinking beer as he is thirsty.

မတိုင္မီ /                      Before

သၾကၤန္မတိုင္မီ ဆံပင္ေဆးဆိုးမယ္

I will dye my hair before Songkran.

ထမင္းမစားမီ လက္ေဆးပါ

Please wash your hands before eating.

ေက်ာင္းမသြားမီ အိမ္စာကို လုပ္ထားပါ

You should do your homework before you go to school.

ၿပီးေနာက္    /  ၿပီးေတာ့            After

ကၽြန္ေတာ္တုိ႔ ျပတိုက္ကို အလည္သြားျပီးေနာက္ ပင္ပန္းခဲ႔ၾကတယ္။

We were tired after our visit to the museum.

သတင္းစာဖတ္ျပီးေနာက္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ အလုပ္စခဲ႔တယ္။

I started working after reading the newspaper.

ရင္ / လွ်င္            If

စိတ္ကူးေကာင္းရင္ အလုပ္ေကာင္းမယ္။

If you think well, you will do well.

မင္း မႀကိဳးစားရင္ မင္း စာေမးပြဲ က်မယ္။

If you do not try hard, you will fail the exam.

မင္း မေျပာလွ်င္ သူမသိဘူး

If you do not tell him, he does not know.

မင္း ထမင္းမစားလွ်င္ ဗိုက္ဆာမယ္

If you don’t eat, you will be hungry.

မင္းမလာလွ်င္ ငါလာမယ္

If you don’t come, I will come.

မနက္ျဖန္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ေနမေကာင္းလ်ွင္ အိမ္မွာ ေနမယ္။

If I don’t feel well, I will be home tomorrow.

က်ေနာ္ ေနမေကာင္းလွ်င္ အလုပ္ကို လာျဖစ္မည္ မဟုတ္ပါ။

If I am sick, I can’t come to work.

မဟုတ္လွ်င္   /   မျဖစ္လွ်င္ Unless / If not

ခင္ဗ်ား မကူညီလွ်င္ က်ေနာ္ အဆင္ေျပမည္ မထင္ပါ။

Unless you help me, I don’t think I will be comfortable.

မင္း အလုပ္မလုပ္လွ်င္ မငး္ ပုိက္ဆံရမည္ မဟုတ္။

If you do not work, you will not earn money.
